Rio Do Rastro Marathon - 42k

The Rio do Rastro Marathon comprises a sporting event in the modalities Road Race with 12km, 25km and 42km, and Bike with 40km. The race is held at the Challenging and Indescribable Serra do Rio do Rastro, in Santa Catarina, on May 6th and 7th, 2023. There are two days of competitions, where runners and cyclists seek true overcoming when climbing the Serra. Facing climate variables in the region, the Marathon becomes the most difficult in Brazil due to an altimetric gain of 2,600 meters.

The race also provides the Guardians' Mission – where 100 athletes will have the opportunity to run 25km on Saturday and 42km on Sunday, winning the 67km medallion!

For the more strategic ones, Rio do Rastro Marathon offers the Santa 7k Challenge, a challenge that mixes strategy with better physical and psychological preparation of athletes in the last kms of the marathon.

Thinking about making the event even more innovative, in 2023 the bike modality becomes free, without a specific category, that is, the athlete defines whether he will compete in a speed bike, mountain bike or gravel bike, and we will have the opportunity to find out which faster and more strategic bikers.
