18º Desafrio Urubici
Sobre o evento
Serra Catarinense is full of great natural wonders and the city of Urubici is one of the contemplated with these wonders. In addition to its natural beauty, Urubici has the coldest temperature record in Brazil (-17º C), at the highest point in southern Brazil – Morro da Igreja (due to the steep slopes), which is 1,822 m above sea level, where it is It is also possible to arrive by car on the asphalt. In general, snow always appears at this point. The rapid change in winds changes the look of the sky constantly. The view is lost on the horizon, passing by the famous formation of basaltic rock – Pedra Furada and reaching 50 km, in a straight line, in the sea. This running event was created in 2003 by Eco Floripa Eventos Esportivos (which owns the copyright) and was named DesaFRIO, as a reference to a winter challenge, with an uphill and downhill course of 52 km.
