Tough Tiger

Tough Tiger is an exciting and challenging event taking place at 297 New Meadow Road in Barrington, RI. The event offers a 1.5-mile course with 18 obstacles, perfect for young families looking for a fun and active experience. The course is a loop in the neighborhood, starting at Hampden Meadows School. There will also be an alternative route available for those who require more accessibility.

Participants who register early will receive a performance Tough Tiger T-shirt, with the first 1,000 registrants guaranteed a shirt. On the day of the race, there will be a raffle with many themed class baskets filled with valuable items, providing an opportunity to win some great prizes.

Packet pick-up and race day registration will take place at Hampden Meadows School. The event is hosted by The Hampden Meadows Teacher Organization (PTO) and will be electronically timed by Presidential Timing. For safety reasons, rollerblades and dogs are not allowed on the race course. While headphones are permitted, participants are encouraged to be courteous to other runners.

To get to the event location, if you are coming from I-95 North or South, take Route 195 East to exit 7 (Rt.114, Barrington) and follow 114 until you reach the center of Barrington. From Southeastern Mass, take Route 195 West to exit 2/Rt. 136 and follow 136 south into Warren, RI. Then, take a right onto RI-103/Child St and turn right onto RI-103/RI-114/Main St. After the first bridge, drive towards the second bridge but do not cross it. Instead, take a right onto New Meadow Road just before the bridge. The Hampden Meadows School will be on the right.

The event will have multiple start times, with registration tables opening at 10:15 AM. The Sensory Friendly Race will start at 12:10 PM, followed by the first wave at 12:30 PM. The last wave will start at 2:30 PM, with waves starting every 10 minutes.

Registration prices vary depending on age and group size. For ages 5-12 participating in the Tiger Cub category, registrations received by May 12th are $25, and from May 13th to race day, the price is $30. For ages 13 and above participating in the Tough Tiger category, registrations received by May 12th are $30, and from May 13th to race day, the price is $35. There is also a Tiger Pack option for families of 4 people, with registrations received by May 12th priced at $100 (additional family members after 4 are $20 each), and from May 13th to race day, the price is $120.
