About the Event

Race for Raymond is a charity event organized by the Hopkinton Police Department to support their Compassion Dog Program. The event will take place on Sunday, May 5th, at 10:00 at Camp Yawgoog in Hopkinton, RI.

The Compassion Dog Program was initiated in November 2022 when the police department purchased Raymond, a 10-week-old Goldendoodle puppy. The program aims to strengthen community relations and bring joy to those in need. It is funded solely through donations and fundraising efforts.

Raymond has already brought smiles to countless faces through his interactions with the community, including visits to local schools, participation in community events, and responding to calls for service.

The Race for Raymond is open to Raymond's fans, coworkers, and other runners and walkers who wish to support the Compassion Dog Program. The main event is a 5K race, with a course that starts on a gravel road and ends on pavement.

By participating in the Race for Raymond, you will not only enjoy a scenic run but also contribute to a worthy cause. The registration fee for the 5K race is $35.00. Your support will help the Hopkinton Police Department continue their important work in the community.

Join us on May 5th and be a part of this meaningful event. Let's come together to make a difference and show our appreciation for Raymond and the Compassion Dog Program. We look forward to seeing you there!
