Brooklyn Waldorf School Scootathon
About the Event
Scootathon has been a beloved Brooklyn Waldorf tradition since 2009, promoting alternative, eco-friendly transportation and celebrating being active outside together. Participants scoot/bike/run around Prospect Park to raise funds for the school.
The Event
Scootathon remains one of the school's key fundraisers, through the power of devoted participants who reach out to their family and friends for sponsorship as they scoot/bike/run around the loop of Prospect Park the first Saturday in May (or cheer/help as others do).
Course Information
The Gold Scootathon ride is 6 times around The Big Loop, which adds up to a half-marathon. The Silver Scootathon ride is 3 times around The Big Loop. The Green Scootathon ride is one or more loops around The Big Loop or for Five times around the Mini-Loop.
Golden Scooter Honor
The Golden Scooter honor is given to the top-fundraiser of the year!
