About the Event

Join us for the 2024 Mareeba & Dimbulah Community Bank Great Wheelbarrow Race! This exciting event takes place in May each year and is hosted by the Mareeba Shire Council. The race involves competitors pushing an empty wheelbarrow along the famous 'Wheelbarrow Way' between Mareeba and Chillagoe in three stages.

The race stages are as follows:

- Mareeba to Dimbulah: 42kms

- Dimbulah to Almaden: 65kms

- Almaden to Chillagoe: 33kms

The event will take place from May 12th to May 14th, 2023, starting at 65 Rankin Street, Mareeba, Australia. Participants can choose to compete in various categories, including Duos, Mens Team, Ladies Team, and Over 55yrs Team. Each team member will have different pricing options.
